Approval of Agenda: MotionCarried. to approve the November 16, 2022, Special Council agenda as presented. 2. CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study: The Consultant provided a presentation on the CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study. Adjournment Special Council Minutes November 16, 2022 Approved January 17, 2023 Page - 3 Land Acknowledgement Roll Call 1.Approval of Agenda: Motion: Moved by Councillor Parsons, seconded by Councillor O’Quinn, to approve the November 16, 2022, Special Council Agenda as presented. Motion Carried. 2.CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study: Kirk Durning, Director of Recreation, Parks & Grounds, Buildings & Facilities, provided background information on this issue and then introduced John Hack from Sierra Planning and Management to present the CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study. John Hack reviewed the CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study that was included in the agenda package and highlighted the following:  Purpose of the Report  Municipal Run Facilities  Existing and Planned Investment at Centre 200  Mechanical and Electrical Systems Review  Community Needs  Recreation Master Plan Recommendations  Level of Service and Utilization  Conceptual programs Scenario A1: Remaining Withing Current CBRM Property Boundaries o Functional Program and Design Approach Option 1 Site Plan Option 2 Site Plan Scenario A2: Partially Within Current CBRM Property Boundaries o Functional Program and Design Approach Option 3 Site Plan Floor Plan Ground Level o Floor Plan Mezzanine o Options Comparison o  5-year Operating Revenue/Cost Projections Continued… Special Council Minutes November 16, 2022 Approved January 17, 2023 Page - 4 CBRM Centre 200 Addition Study (Cont’d): Following the presentation, some of the Council discussion included:  CBRM Staff responsibilities in terms of managing the new addition  Renovations would be needed within the existing C200 structure  CBRM has a need for gymnasium space  Central core location  Parking availability  Discussion required at the Budget Sessions Mayor McDougall thanked John Hack for his presentation and noted this Study was funded by all three levels of government and it will be a useful tool as Council moves forward with discussion on its Municipal assets.
