Approval of Agenda Motion Moved by Commissioner Tracey, seconded by Commissioner Deering-Bert, to approve the March 4, 2024, CBRM Board of Police Commissioners Agenda as presented. Motion Carried 2. Administration of the Oaths of Office for Helen Luedee The Municipal Clerk administered the Oaths of Office for the CBRM Board of Police Commissioner Helen Luedee. 3. Approval of Minutes Motion Moved by Commissioner Green, seconded by Commissioner Vickers, to approve the CBRM Board of Police Commissioners Minutes from: December 11, 2023 Motion Carried 4. Business Arising Chief Walsh presented the proposed budget, included in the agenda package, for the Cape Breton Regional Police Services for the fiscal year 2024-2025. Discussion took place regarding highway patrol, covid restrictions, and expenses. The following motion was then put forward: Board of Police Commissioners Minutes March 4, 2024 Approved June 27, 2024 Page 3 of 4 Motion Moved by Commissioner Vickers, seconded by Commissioner Tracey, to approve the Cape Breton Regional Police Services Proposed Budget for 2024- 2025, included in the agenda package, to be sent to Council for Budget Deliberations. Motion Carried S. Online Reporting and New Website Desiree Magnus, Communications/PR Advisor, provided a demonstrative presentation on the Cape Breton Regional Police Services online reporting service and the new website design. Discussion took place regarding confirmation systems, timelines, and Police Academy qualifications. For Information Only 6.
