CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY
Bylaw T2
PUBLIC TRANIST
1.No person shall damage in any way property of any person, including the Regional
Municipality, used in providing a public transportation service for or with the assistance of
the Regional Municipality, including without restricting the generality of the foregoing any
bus or other vehicle, seats, passenger shelters, buildings and all other property and equipment
used in providing the public transportation service.
2.Any person who persists in loud or raucous noise, unruly, or objectionable behaviour or
other activities that would disturb other passengers or potential passengers, whether or not
other passengers or potential passengers are present, at a passenger shelter or on a vehicle
providing a public transportation service for or with the assistance of the Regional
Municipality, after being requested to desist by a vehicle driver or other employee of the
public transportation service (including an employee of the Regional Municipality), is guilty
of an offence.
3. Any person who persists in unruly or unsafe behaviour at a passenger shelter or on a vehicle
providing a public transportation service for or with the assistance of the Regional
Municipality, after being requested to desist by a vehicle driver or other employee of the
public transportation service (including an employee of the Regional Municipality), is guilty
of an offence.
4. Any Bylaw or any provision thereof passed and approved by any former Municipality
within the boundaries of the County of Cape Breton prior to July 31, 1995 which conflicts
with or acts contrary to the provisions of this Bylaw are hereby repealed with this Bylaw
becoming law and any other provisions of such Bylaws hereby ratified and confirmed insofar
as they are not in conflict with this Bylaw.
